Studio Booking


Members are free to come and go as you please regardless of using this link.
As we get closer to studio capacity we hope that this method of booking time allows other members to be aware of busy times in order to prevent congestion.

2. Membership Fees & Termination 

  • Payment Schedule: I agree to pay the monthly membership fee on time each month via the studio’s designated payment system. 
  • Termination by Member: If I choose to terminate my membership, I must notify Sad Friends Ceramics LLC in writing at least one week (7 days) prior to my monthly renewal date. If notice is not received, I will be charged as scheduled and no refund will be issued. 
  • Termination by Studio: Sad Friends Ceramics LLC reserves the right to terminate any membership at any point, effective immediately, if a member violates any studio policies, building rules, or conduct guidelines.In the event of termination due to policy violation, no refund for the remaining month will be provided. 
  • Key Return: Upon termination (voluntary or involuntary), I agree to return all studio keys or access fobs immediately. Access codes will be deactivated upon the final day of membership. 

3. Membership Conduct, Access & Building Respect Policies 

To maintain a safe and professional environment, I agree to the following: 

  • Age Requirement: I certify that I am 18 years of age or older. I agree to provide a valid government-issued ID to be scanned and kept on file for identity and age verification. 
  • Authorized Access & Hours: I will only access the studio during designated member hours (9 AM – 10 PM PST). Unauthorized use of the space outside of these hours is strictly prohibited. 
  • Monthly Guest Pass Exception: I am permitted one guest visit per month. I ensure my guest will be 18+ (with ID verification), sign a studio waiver prior to entry, and remain accompanied by me at all times. 
  • Mutual Respect: I will treat Sad Friends staff, members, and students with kindness and respect. Harassment, verbal abuse, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate membership termination.
  • Shared Environment: I will respect the work and personal space of others. I will not touch, move, or handle any pottery or tools that are not my own. 
  • Cleanliness: I will clean my wheel, tools, and workspace to studio standards after every use. I will dispose of clay and glaze according to studio protocols to prevent plumbing damage (e.g., using designated clay traps).
  • Prohibited Content: I will not use studio resources to create work that invokes, promotes, or displays hate speech or hate symbols. The studio reserves the right to refuse to fire such work and terminate membership immediately.
  • Building Security: I will not prop open secure doors, share entry codes/keys, or allow "piggybacking" by unauthorized individuals. I will ensure all doors are securely locked upon my departure. 
  • Respect for Neighbors: I will keep noise levels to a minimum when entering and exiting the building. I will park only in designated areas and avoid blocking neighboring driveways or shared access points. I will not roam the building outside of the hours of 10AM - 6PM. 
  • Events: Sad Friends Ceramics LLC reserves the right to shut down access to the studio space for private events. There will always be a 7 day notice before the event.

4. “Kiln Gods” Clause: Firing Results & Abandoned Property 

  • Ceramics is unpredictable. Sad Friends Ceramics LLC is not liable for pieces that crack, break, or have unexpected glaze results. Any items left on shelves for more than 30 days after a membership expires will be considered abandoned and may be discarded or donated.
