About Sad Friends

Sad Friends Ceramics is a community studio in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco founded by Bay Area ceramicist Daniel Vu and help from sad friends Alyssa & Grant Herugi. Our studio celebrates thoughtful craftsmanship by teaching and encouraging development of techical skill and precision in both wheel throwing and mold-making. The goal of Sad Friends Ceramics Studio is to offer the community a third space where members can build a strong foundation in the industrial sector of ceramics while giving space to explore their own ideas with clarity and support.

Sad Friends is located on the second floor of the American Industrial Center South Building.
