Prerequisites - Shapr3d tutorial on iPad or laptop. Must bring iPad or laptop to sessions.
This course is designed to provide information and hands on practice with plaster molds and slip casting. The project of this course will be to model out a one part model on Shapr3d, turn it into a plaster mold, slip cast it and turn it into a ceramic piece.

Pieces can be picked up 1-2 weeks after the last session.
Class dates: 02/26, 03/05, 03/12, 03/19, 03/26
Week 1:
Introduction, facility tour, lecture on plaster model parts making clay patty, making clay model
Week 2:
Clean up models, design larger model, plaster cast
Week 3:
Lecture on slip, stain demo, slip pour, preparing work for bisque firing
Week 4:
Demo on jiggering, 3d models, mold possibilities, more casting, preparing work for bisque firing
Week 5:
Glaze demo, spray booth demo, preparing work for glaze firing
